Nowe Czaple, Lubusz Voivodeship

Nowe Czaple ( German New Tschöpeln, 1936-1945 Birkenstedt / Upper Lusatia ) is a village in the Polish rural community Trzebiel district Zary ( Lubusz Voivodeship ).

Geography

Nowe Czaple is located on the eastern foothills of the Muskau arch at the junction of Droga Droga Krajowa wojewódzka 350 of the 12th North of the village is located the eponymous town Stare Czaple (Alt Tschöpeln ), to the east is Czaple ( Tschöpeln ).

Directly northwest of the village is Bronowice ( Brown village). Together with the small village Pustków ( Schadehof, the former Good Tschöpeln ) are the two villages of a mayor's office.

From a historical perspective Nowe Czaple is a Silesian village on the border of Upper Lusatia.

History

Nowe Czaple, as well Czaple, a relatively young town. Around 1745 a wooden pillar was erected on the road from Muskau after Zibelle near the border between the registrar Muskau and the Principality of Sagan, who soon bore the name Betsäule. This name was transferred to a group of houses located there, which later became the village of New Tschöpeln emerged.

The construction of the railway line Sommerfeld Muskau, which continued from Muskau out to white water, the remaining stump of wood Betsaule 1897 had to be moved. It should be 1904 again implemented.

In the late 19th, early 20th century, Tschöpeln has developed thanks to clay, clay and lignite deposits to an industrial community, the Old Tschöpeln and Tschöpeln should exceed the number of inhabitants soon. The brown coal of the Tschöpelner works was mainly converted into electricity, which could be operated under other glass works in white water. In Tschöpeln even a Tonwerk for the production of bricks and glass works with two furnaces operated.

Until the opening of a separate school in 1905, the students were taught in the Protestant parish of Great Särchen, unless they were visiting students in Tschöpeln.

By resolution of the circle Sagan In 1932, the western part, including New Tschöpeln, to the circle Rothenburg. In the course of Germanization slawischstämmiger place names, the village received the name Birkenstedt 1936. Two years later, the village was incorporated into neighboring Brown Birkenstedt. The population of the two villages had grown from about 750 depending on together over 1700 in 1939.

After the Second World War, the village was a result of the westward shift of Poland on the Polish-administered side of the Oder -Neisse line. Together with most other municipalities in the eastern part of the Rothenburg circle came the now designated as Nowe Czaple community for powiat Żarski, which emerged from the Polish share of Sorauer circle. Nowe Czaple 1946 was beaten to the municipality Niwica and came in 1973 to the municipality Trzebiel.
