Nozomi Yamago

Nozomi Yamago (Japanese山郷 のぞみ, Yamago Nozomi, born January 16, 1975 in Ōmiya (now Saitama ), Saitama Prefecture) is a Japanese football player.

Club career

Yamago played since 1993 and 1999 for the FC Kunoichi; In 2002 she moved to Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies. In January 2005, she signed a contract with California Storm in the North American WPSL, but in the same year, she returned to Japan.

National

Yamago completed her first cap for the Japanese national team on June 15, 1997 against China. She played at the 3rd Women's World Championship in 1999 and also in the 4th Women's World Cup in 2003 in all six games at the 6th Women's World Cup 2011 in Germany Yamago was in the team, but she has not played. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, she completed three games in Japan.
