Nørreport Station

Nørreport is a tunnel station in the center of the Danish capital Copenhagen. He is the busiest station in Denmark with approximately 300,000 daily passengers. The entire station facility is located underground with 6 tracks on three platforms, each of which is a platform for rail passenger transport and long-distance transport, the S -tog and the metro is assigned.

History

The station was opened on 1 July 1918 as part of the tunnel connection between Copenhagen Central Station and Østerport. However, the first S- tog trains stopped only on May 15, 1934 at the station. On 19 October 2002, the underground section of the Metro was opened. The four-track "old" station, which runs in a north -south direction, was tunnel with the new metro station, which runs in an east -west direction, respectively. The metro station was, until 29 May 2003 the terminus of lines M1 and M2, as the new section was opened to Frederiksberg.

The underground metro station Nørreport is below the actual Nørreport station. The station is served by lines M1 and M2 of the Copenhagen metro system.

The station was opened on 19 October 2002 for the newly built metro section Vestamager - Nørreport. It offers connecting flights to various bus lines, the S -tog, the long-distance and regional traffic.
