Nuclear Polyhedrosis Virus

The genus nucleopolyhedrovirus was up to the taxonomic reclassification in 2011 one of two genera of the family of viruses Baculoviridae. As a characteristic feature within the virus family was a characteristic that are present in several capsids Nucleopolyhedroviren within the viral envelope. The genus has been divided into three genera Alphabaculovirus, Gammabaculovirus and Deltabaculovirus basis of sequence analysis of the double-stranded DNA genome.
