Nünchritz

Nuenchritz is a municipality in the district of Meißen in Saxony and office of the Management Community Nuenchritz, to which the community belongs Glaubitz.

Geography, Economics and Transport

The community lies on the edge of Großenhainer care on the eastern banks of the Elbe in the River Elbe. Next district towns are large grove (10 km ) Meissen (10 km) and Riesa ( 8 km). The B 98 and the railway line Leipzig - Riesa- Dresden run through the north of the parish. In the district of Grödel Elsterwerda - Grödel raft channel flows into the Elbe.

History

History of Nuenchritz

Nuenchritz was first mentioned in 1312 as Nucharicz documented. The area was already in the Stone Age ( around 4000 BC ) populated, which is confirmed archaeological finds. In historical times there was a wine region and also the same determined the development of the area. In the Middle Ages, the High Road ( road salt ) led by the municipality. From 1839 the Leipzig -Dresden railway line was built and since 2003 has Nuenchritz its own breakpoint has hourly connections to Riesa, Dresden and Leipzig.

Between 1900 and 1905, a work of Chemische Fabrik von Heyden in Radebeul was built in Nuenchritz. Even today, the place is the site of a chemical factory, are produced in the siloxanes. The October 1, 1998, Wacker Chemie associated plant employs about 1,400 people (as of 31 December 2011), making it the largest industrial employer in the district of Meißen. By an agreement in October 2011 expansion for the production of polysilicon and about 500 more jobs have been created.

History of Seußlitz

The oldest part of the municipality is Seußlitz, which was first mentioned in 1205. At the place was at that time a castle ( owner Otto von Suselitz ). It was canceled in 1226 and the Margrave of Meissen Henry rebuilt the Illustrious to a hunting lodge. In 1268 he founded the possession with 17 associated villages as the Poor Clares convent. After the Reformation in 1546 the Privy Council of the Elector Moritz of Saxony, Simon Pistoris bought the Younger, the monastery and rebuilt it to his residential palace. In 1722 Henry of Bünau acquired the ownership and Seußlitz Castle, the park and the castle church was rebuilt in Baroque style around to designs by George Bähr.

Diesbar 1365 was first mentioned as Rode and Weißig in 1378, as documented Wizzok 1272 as Dievesvere, Grödel 1324 Gredil, Zschaiten 1324 Zschetin, Roda.

Incorporations

On 1 July 1973, the municipalities Grödel and Zschaiten were incorporated with the eingemeindeten on July 1, 1950 the district of Roda. 1 January 1994 was followed by the municipality Weißig. On 1 January 2003 the municipality Diesbar- Seußlitz with the districts Diesbar- Seußlitz was ( came into being on January 1, 1952 from the merger of the two formerly independent municipalities), Goltz damage, Leckwitz, Merschwitz, Naundörfchen ( on July 1, 1950 incorporated by Leckwitz ) and Neuseußlitz ( on 1 July 1973 Diesbar Seußlitz - affiliated ) incorporated.

Policy

On September 16, 2007, a mayoral election was held to choose a successor for mayor Udo Schmidt ( SPD). This Anett Wendler (SPD ) received 36.8 % of the vote and Gerd Barthold (CDU ) 34.3 %. Therefore, a special election was held on September 30, which won Barthold with 47.8 %. The turnout was 56.8 % in the first and 52.2 % in the second ballot.

It is a 500 year old festival, which takes place every year at Ascension. In this festival, a wedding ceremony for a day is possible. The origin of this custom, the bride show of vacant after the dissolution of the monastery of nuns is considered.

Memorial

A memorial cemetery is located on the Riesaer road with a monument to Soviet soldiers and 17 officers of the 1st Guards Cavalry Corps who died in fighting in Nuenchritz on April 23, 1945 killed. Their names are unknown. The memorial was inaugurated on 5 June 1945.
