Nuovo Cimento
Il Nuovo Cimento (it. The New trial ) is a physics journal, published since 1897 by the Italian Physical Society ( Società Italiana di Fisica ). The magazine was founded in 1855 by Carlo Matteucci and Raffaele Piria in Pisa and continued a magazine founded in 1844 by two under the title Il Cimento.
It appeared in the following series:
- Series A (particle physics ) since 1965; Risen in the European Physical Journal 1999
- Series B (mathematical physics, relativity, astronomy) since 1965
- Series C ( geophysics, astrophysics, biophysics ) since 1978
- Series D ( solid state physics, atomic physics, molecular physics ) since 1982; 1998 merged into the European Physical Journal
- Supplement Nuovo Cimento al (Supplement to ... ) 1949-1968
- Lettere al Nuovo Cimento ( Letters to ... ) since 1969; 1986 went up in the Euro Physics Letters
- Rivista del Nuovo Cimento ( Review article ) since 1969

- Series B ( Applied Physics, basic research), monthly
- C series (conference and workshop papers ), bi-monthly.
