Nuptse South Face
The Nuptse is a seven thousand in Nepal. It is located in Mahalangur Himal in the Khumbu region of the Himalayas, 2 kilometers south-west of Mount Everest. " Nuptse " comes from the Tibetan ( nub rtse ), meaning " west peak ", because it represents the western segment of the Lhotse - Nuptse massif.

The main peak, Nuptse I was first reached on 16 May in 1961 by Dennis Davis and Sherpa Tashi as a participant of a British expedition.
