The Nybro Vikings IF is a Swedish professional ice hockey club from Nybro, which in the third highest Swedish league, Division 1, playing since 2009. Play their home games from the club in the Victoria Hall, a 3,000 spectators.

History

The original club Nybro IF was founded in 1906. 1955 followed by the establishment of the Section Hockey in Nybro IF. It was not until 1998, split the Hockey department from the main club and called since Nybro Vikings IF. In the seasons 1968/69 and 1969/70 was one of the first team of the club the top division in Sweden, the former Allsvenskan on. She also played over 20 seasons in the second division and increased in 2006 and again in these. 2009 followed the descent into the Division 1

Home ground

The Victoria Hall was built in 1962 and has since been used by Nybro IF for home games. The total capacity of the hall is 3000 spectators and the official attendance record in 3068 is located. This was erected in the 2003/04 season in a game against the Växjö Lakers. The Victoria Hall was the third ice rink in Sweden, only an ice rink in Stockholm and one in Gothenburg older.
