O. G. Style

O.G. Style ( née: Eric Woods, born July 5, 1970 in Houston, Texas, † January 2, 2008 ) was an American gangsta rapper.

Biography

Woods began his career in 1986 under the pseudonym of Prince Ezzy -E. When he in the late 1980s with the DJ Big Boss, the duo OG Founded Style, he changed its name to the original E, also to avoid confusion with Eazy -E. The 1991's debut album of the duo I Know How To Play ' Em! contained the chart success Catch ' Em Slippin'. The album itself reached number # 69 U.S. Billboard hip-hop charts. The album is a rarity in today.

As a DJ, Big Boss left the group, Woods took the pseudonym OG Style. He released two solo albums in 2000 and 2005, but could not place a greater success. Nevertheless, he goes for the Houston rap scene as " Hip- Hop Pioneer " and had great influence on rappers like Bun B and K- Rino.

In 2007, he began with producers Smurk to work on a new album. On 2 January 2008 he was admitted to the St. Luke 's Episcopal Hospital, where he died from the effects of a cerebral hemorrhage. The unfinished album to be published posthumously by his sons.
