The Oakland -Alameda County Coliseum opened in 1966 in Oakland, Alameda County, California. Through the naming rights to the name changed several times, it was between 1998 and 2004, Network Associates Coliseum, until 2008, McAfee Coliseum, and since September 2008 it again bears the name used since the opening to 1996 Oakland -Alameda County Coliseum, but was on the whole period of time often referred to as simply the Coliseum. It serves as baseball, American football and as a football stadium and is used by professional teams of the Oakland Athletics ( MLB) and the Oakland Raiders ( NFL ) are used. The Major League Soccer team San Jose Earthquakes also bear its larger games from here.

The fans of the Oakland Raiders call their home stadium and the Black Hole.
