Oakland California Temple

The Oakland California Temple is the thirteenth temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ( Mormons). He stands in Oakland (California, USA). Its construction was announced in 1962, 1964 he was ordained.

The temple is visible from far away on a hill in Oakland and soon became a local attraction. He is the only temple of this church in a modern design with five towers. Its architect was Harold W. Burton. The temple has four endowments - and seven sealing rooms. On the north and the south side are mounted two large friezes. The on the south side shows Jesus as he appeared after the Mormon faith after the resurrection of the indigenous population of America. The frieze on the north side shows Jesus as he preached to the people. From a terrace in front of the temple is a magnificent view of the Bay Area, Oakland opens up addition to San Francisco with the Golden Gate Bridge.
