Oberkampf (Band)

Oberkampf was a French punk rock band that existed from 1979 to 1985 and again since 2000 on tour.

History

It was created by Joe Bright (vocals ), Pat Kebra (guitar), Buck - Dali (bass) and founded Dominik Descoubes (drums). After the first single release Couleurs Sur Paris in February 1981 Oberkampf signed a plate contract with Virgin Records, where the first album PLC ( Plein Les Couilles ) was published in 1982, followed by Cris Sans Thèmes 1985, shortly before the preliminary resolution. 2000, the band formed again and recorded the album, published in 2003 Animal Factory.

Oberkampf was known for its anti- nationalist attitude, which was expressed, inter alia, that the band at a live performance with the French flag burnt and that her song La Marseillaise is accompanied by pig grunts, as well as her call for resistance against state institutions in Couleurs Sur Paris.
