OBK

OBK is an electropop group from Barcelona ( Spain), which was founded by Jordi Sánchez and Miguel Arjona. The two musicians have been heavily influenced by groups like Depeche Mode, Yazoo and Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, which is reflected also in their band name. So OBK is the abbreviation for " top grain ( It's a Small Town) ", the B- side of the Depeche Mode single " The Meaning of Love". In 1991, she published the label Blanco y Negro Music debut, Llámalo Sueño.

Style

The style of the group is assigned to the genre Synthpop and the electropop. In addition to songs heavily electronic style can be found on the albums again and again ballads of slightly traditional character, such as Falsa moral. In their home country, the popularity of the group in 1996 was clearly ascendant with the release of the album Donde el corazón nos lleve. It was reinforced two years later with the compilation Singles 91-98 again.
