Oblast
Oblast ( Russian and Ukrainian область; belarusian вобласць, Woblasz; Serbian and Bulgarian област; masculine or feminine; majority in German: Oblasts or oblasts; literally "Territory") is the name of a larger administrative district in Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. In Kazakhstan it is called in the local language and Kazakh Oblys, plural: Oblystar ( Kazakh Облыс / Облыстар ).
Bulgaria
The Bulgarian central government is divided into 28 oblasts.
