Oborniki

Oborniki ( German Obornik, 1941-1942 Upper Nick, 1942-1945 Obornik ) is a city and seat of the urban and rural community in Poland. The place is located in the powiat Obornicki the Wielkopolska Region.

History

Oborniki received before 1300 German law and in 1485 it received city rights. With the Second Partition of Poland it came to Prussia in 1793, but 1807, the Duchy of Warsaw. In 1815, it was awarded the Grand Duchy of Posen again Prussian and after the First World War it came to the resurrected Poland. 1939-1945 was the community county seat of the county Obornik the newly formed Reichsgau Warta country.
