Obturator internus muscle

The obturator internus muscle (Latin for "inner Verstopfermuskel ", also called " inner Hüftlochmuskel " ) is one of the hip muscles of the thigh. In the animal anatomy is still the name musculus obturator internus previously used in humans valid. In even-toed ungulates of the muscle is not formed.

The musculus obturator (ius ) internus rotates the thigh outward.
