Ocean City is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. In 2000, the city had 217 inhabitants.
Geography
Ocean City is located on the northern of the two peninsulas which separate Grays Harbor from the Pacific Ocean.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.3 km ², all of it is land.
Demography
At the time of the census of 2000, there were 217 Ocean City people. The population density was 19.3 people per km ². There were 250 housing units at an average 22.2 per km ². The population of the town consisted of 88.94 % White, 0.92% African American, 5.99% Native American, 0.46% Asian, 2.76 % reported from other races, and 0.95 % from two or more races. 2.76 % of the population to be Hispanic or Latino of any race.
The residents of Ocean City's distributed to 117 households out of which 12.8% were living in children under 18 years. 39.3% married couples living together, 3.4 % had a female householder with no husband present, and 53.8 % were non-families. 41.9 % of households were made up of individuals and someone lived in 16.2 % of all households aged 65 years or older. The average household size was 1.85 and the average family size is 2.56 people.
The population was spread out with 14.3 % under the, 2.8 % 18 -24- year-old, 26.7 % 25 -44- year-old, 40.6 % 45-64 year olds and 15.7 % under the age of 65 years or more. The average age was 48 years. For every 100 females there were 110.7 males. In the over -18s accounted for 100 women 116.3 males.
