Ocinaplon (manufacturer DOV Pharm Inc.) is a drug from the group of psychotropic drugs that should be used to treat anxiety. Its development was set in 2005 in Phase III.

Pharmacological properties
Mechanism of action ( pharmacodynamics )
Ocinaplon has a similar effect to benzodiazepines. It binds allosterically to GABA receptors, thereby enhancing their function. In contrast to the benzodiazepines Ocinaplon not lead to sedation of the patient and is also no limitation of motor skills.
Side effects
Ocinaplon led to an increase in the activity of liver enzymes, which is why its development in 2005 has been set.
