Oderaue is a municipality of the Office Barnim - Oder in the district or Mark- land in Brandenburg.

Geography

The municipality is located in the northern part of the landscape or breakage immediately to the east of Bad Freienwalde (Oder).

Community structure

The community consists of seven districts:

  • Altreetz
  • Wustrow consisting of the inhabited parts of the municipality Altwustrow, Neuwustrow and Ferdinandshof

Climate

The annual rainfall is 489 mm. The rainfall is in the lower -twentieth of the detected values ​​in Germany. The driest month is February, the most rainfall comes in June. Fall in June was 2.3 times more precipitation than in February.

History

The community Oderaue was taken on October 26, 2003 through the voluntary merger of the previously independent municipalities Neurüdnitz, Neuküstrinchen and Neureetz. The communities Altreetz and Zäckericker Loose were incorporated on the same day by law. During the current district Mädewitz 1818-1952 belonged to the district Oberbarnim, the rest of the municipality was until 1945 part of the district Königsberg Nm. in the Neumark, the largely belongs to Poland today.

The route was opened in 1892 the Wriezener train to the stations Altmädewitz, Altreetz and Neurüdnitz led by the current municipal area. The last passenger trains reversed in 1982. Around 2000, the line was dismantled, a paved bike path was created in 2005 on the route.

  • In the district Altwustrow be a featured peasant village church is of 1789 with a valuable late classical paper ceiling of 1832.
