Ödön Bodor

Odon Bodor ( born January 24, 1882 in Kapuvar; † January 22, 1927 in Budapest) was a Hungarian middle-distance runners, sprinters and soccer players.

He began his athletic career as a soccer player and came twice in friendlies of the Hungarian national football team to use ( in April 1901 against the Surrey Wanderers in October 1903 against Austria ).

At the Olympic Games in London in 1908, he retired about 1500 m from the inlet port. In the 800 - meter race, he overtook together with the German Hanns Braun on the home straight the long time on the third place lying British Theodore Just, but had to admit defeat in the battle for bronze almost brown. In the Olympic season he was the final runner of Hungarian team on the 800 -meter section and was also here in the finale of brown almost defeated and relegated to the bronze medal.

In 1912, he retired at the Olympic Games in London over 400 m, 800 m and the 4 x 400 - meter relay in each of the previous round.

Three times he was national champion in the 440 -yard (1908, 1909, 1911), five times more than 880 yards (1906, 1909-1912 ) and four times in the mile run ( 1905, 1906, 1908, 1910).
