Ofer Lellouche

Ofer Lellouche (* 1947 in Tunis, Tunisia) is an Israeli painter, printmaker, sculptor and video artist who was born in Tunisia.

Life and work

Lellouche studied from 1963 to 1966 in Paris and abandoned his studies two months before graduating to go to the kibbutz Yehiam in Israel. After his military service, he studied painting from 1969 to 1971 at the Avni Institute of Art and Design and French literature at the University of Tel Aviv. Then worked in the studio of the sculptor César Baldaccini in Paris, while he studied literature.

After finished self-portraits as videos and later of landscapes. 1987 his work was exhibited Figure in a Landscape at the Biennale of São Paulo. In the 1990s he worked primarily on graphic and sculptural works.

He lives and works alternately in Tel Aviv and Paris.
