In December 2004, the band recorded in Necromorbus studio on two songs that appeared on the re-release of the EP 2005. According Belfagor were Atum and TEHOM, contrary to the information on the EP and the former Ofermod page, but not involved in the recording. Atum was involved, among other things, at Emit with, later converted to Catholicism and plays in the band Reverorum ib Malacht.

Moloch had written half the text of the text to Eu Angelion; in the booklet of the album he is known as " frater Nasko of Teitanblood ".

Background

The band refers to the forces of the Sitra Achra ( סטרא אחרא ). Belfagor writes the lyrics in conjunction with meditation or astral travel, where he forces approaching, he writes, and composes in semi - trance, where the compositions are mainly based on his guitar work. The sounds he encounters in astral travel into the realm of the forces of Chaos are, according to Belfagor very difficult to duplicate, so he tried to capture the feel and atmosphere of these sounds and the phonetic form of his astral visions in his compositions. Ofermods style is considered to be independent, " not easily accessible " and as an inspiration for other Swedish bands like Watain and Ondskapt. Ofermod initially played raw Black Metal, Mayhem's De Mysteriis reminiscent of Dom Sathanas, but later took even death metal influences in the style of Morbid Angel on. On the second album Thaumiel doom metal elements and parallels to Samael's early work can be heard.

The band themselves described their music initially as " Orthodox Black Metal". The recordings for the re-release of the EP they called, however, as " Orthodox Death Metal ", as they no longer employed the word Satan, but wanted to keep his sacred essence unnamed, which had existed before the cosmos. Due to his occult experiences came Belfagor before the other members to this view, while these 2004 were still religious devil worshipers. The band refers in particular to the Kabbalah and represents the chaos as dark opposite side to the Creation, which it regards as the real evil. The materialisation of existence must, and will be reversed, as this is a curse, the life has taken its manifestation on themselves. The band uses terms like evil but also for his own vision of cosmic perspective.

Probably because of past controversial statements Belfagors whose other band Nefandus was moved to the vicinity of neo-Nazism. , He stresses, however, to have friends of all colors, and therefore to regard these claims as insulting. However, he had also contacts with neo-Nazis and other racists, but not because of their political views; with these he shared an interest in martial arts and Norse mythology.
