OAG Worldwide Limited, also known as Official Airline Guide known ( engl Official Airline Guide ), is a UK based service for travel news, data and ranking. The company consists of more than 450 employees and 9 offices in Europe, Asia and America. The Official Airline Guide provides database management in the field of aviation, travel and hospitality industry. Currently, an electronic database daily more than 1000 Airlines and 3500 flights over the Internet is provided. The OAG also awards the prize for the best deals of the year.

History

The OAG began in 1853, first as ABC Alphabetical Railway Guide ( engl alphabetical railway guide - now OAG Rail Guide). This was followed by the first publication of the "official airline guide " in 1929 in the United States, resulting in a list of 35 airlines and 300 flights. 1970, the OAG Pocket Flight Guide ( engl airline pocket guide ) was published, which was devoted mainly business travelers.

The electronic edition was launched in 1983 to market. This was the first online travel planning tool OAG, which included both flight and price information was available and more than 20 network operators ( inter alia CompuServe and Dow Jones).
