Oggebbio

Oggebbio is a municipality with 893 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of Verbano -Cusio -Ossola, Piedmont region of Italy.

The neighboring municipalities are Aurano, Brezzo di Bedero Cannero Riviera, Castelveccana, Ghiffa, Porto Valtravaglia Premeno and Trarego Viggiona.

The place is a member of the congregation composite Comunità Montana Alto Verbano.

Geography

The community is located 12 km from the provincial capital, between Verbania Cannero Riviera in the north and to the south by the Piedmont Ghiffa west side of Lake Maggiore. Oggebbio is the topographical term for 15 villages scattered in the mountains are down to the lakeshore. The parish seat is located in the district of Gonte. About these villages are the eight pastures Oggebbio, " summer villages," the slm to 1075 m Height range. The municipality covers 20.21 km ².
