OGLE-2005-BLG-169L b

OGLE -2005- BLG - 169L b is an extrasolar planet orbiting the red dwarf OGLE -2005- BLG - 169L all 3300 days. Due to its high mass is assumed that it is a gas planet.

Discovery

Unlike the majority of exoplanets it has been discovered using the microlensing method. The planet was discovered by the OGLE project in 2005.

Circulation and mass

The planet orbits its star at a distance of about 2.8 astronomical units and has a mass of about 12.72 Earth masses and 0.04 Jupiter masses.
