Oğuz Çetin

Ahmet Oğuz Çetin (* February 15, 1963 in Sakarya ) is a former Turkish football player. Çetin was until November 2011 assistant coach of the Turkish national football team. Oğuz Çetin is with 503 Süper Lig games, the player with the most Erstligaeinsätzen.

Oğuz Çetin came in 1963 in the western Turkish city of Sakarya on the world and moved with his family moved to Germany. Here he began as a nine- year-old in the youth of SSV Bobingen playing football. 1977 returned to his family back in the homeland, so Çetin carried on in the youth of Sakaryaspor with the club football. Coaching career

In the 2000 /01 season Mustafa Denizli Oğuz Çetin brought back as an assistant coach to Fenerbahce. After the dismissal of Denizli and Werner Lorant, he took over for a short time the top job at Fenerbahçe.

This was followed by short activities in Kayseri Erciyesspor, Gençlerbirliği Ankara and Diyarbakirspor.

Since 2006, he was assistant coach of the Turkish national team, first under Fatih Terim, and later under Guus Hiddink. After the failed qualification for the 2012 European Championship, the Turkish association finished working with him as well with head coach Hiddink.

In late November 2012, he took over the head coaching position at second division Boluspor. He replaced the retired Serhat Güller.
