Ohope is a seaside resort on the east coast of the Bay of Plenty on the North Island of New Zealand. Formally, the place belongs to the northern city of Whakatane. Generally, the district is often called Ohope Beach.

Geography

Ohope Beach is located on a narrow isthmus between the Bay of Plenty in the east and a flat belt of water in the West. The main town of Whakatane is located approximately two miles behind a range of hills in the north.
