The Parc national d' Oka is one of the 24 National Parks in the Canadian province of Québec. There is a corresponding Parc national but what is a provincial park in the other provinces and territories.

The task of the established in 1990 in the extreme south of the province, only 23.7 km ² large park, is to obtain a forest type or to regenerate, which is rare in Canada. The park borders over 7 km of the Lac des Deux Montagnes, a widening of the Ottawa River.

History

In 1974, the borders of the future parks have been established. In 2005, the area of ​​the park was still largely used for agriculture or forestry, only 0.1 % of the local areas could recover from the economic exploitation. Flora and Fauna
