Okahao is a city in the same constituency Okahao in the Omusati Region in northern Namibia with 1600 inhabitants. The city lives off the land and is located about 70 kilometers south-west of Oshakati, 25 kilometers from Tsandi and 55 kilometers from Outapi.
The surrounding settlements at Okahao among other things, the village belongs Ongandjera (17 ° 53 ' S, 15 ° 4' O 17.8833315.06667, 2,850 inhabitants), the birthplace of Samuel Nujoma, Namibia's first president. History
The city with the surrounding villages is closely connected with the history of Ongandjera kings and the Finnish missionaries of today's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia. The town is traditionally known as a spiritual source.

The city has a municipal council in front with seven members, who are all members of SWAPO currently. Chairman is the mayor Jesse David Uuzombala.
