OKB Gidropress

OKB Gidropress (Russian ОКБ Гидропресс ) is a state-owned Russian design bureau, which operates in the field of nuclear technology. OKB is for experimental design bureau ( опытно - конструкторское бюро ). The design office was established on January 28, 1946 by decree of the Council of People's Commissars and is located in Podolsk. It is the developer of core VVER.

History

The design office engaged since its inception in 1946 with the nuclear technology. Headed it was from 1946 to 1954 by Boris Mikhailovich Schlokowitsch, then took over until 1958 Alexei Timofejewitsch Agapov the line. His successor was Joseph Braude Yefremovich and from 1962 to 1992, the Office Vasily Stekolnikow. After 1992, Valentin Grigoryevich Fyodorov took over the management, since 1998 Yuri Grigorjewitsch SVD leads the company.

The company is known mainly for its reactor VVER. The VVER - 1200 (AES 2006) and the VVER -1500 reactors of the VVER are the latest line of Gidropress. You are a further development of older reactor series. The SVBR-75/100 to be the first breeder reactor of Gidropress. It is a cooled with liquid lead reactor.

Some pilot plants and prototypes were supplied by Gidropress. Among other Gidropress designed the steam separator for the Obninsk nuclear power plant and for the Ignalina nuclear power plant. In addition, vapor separator designed for breeder reactors at the nuclear power plant and Aktau nuclear power plant Beloyarskaya. The VK- 50 and BOR -60 in the Research Institute of Atomic Reactors were developed by Gidropress.

  • Fast neutron reactor BOR -60, designed for experimental investigation of fuel rods
  • Steam generator and heat exchangers for the reactor BN -350
  • Steam generator and heat exchangers for the reactor BN -600 nuclear power plant Beloyarskaya
  • Types of reactors WWER -210 ( V-1), WWER -365 (V -3), WWER -440 (V -179, B -230, B -213, V -270 ), VVER -1000 ( V -187, B- 302, B -320, B -338, V- 428)
