Ólafur Ingi Skúlason

Ólafur Ingi Skúlason ( born April 1, 1983 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic football player. The midfielder, who made his debut in the Icelandic national team in 2003, was captain of the Icelandic U-21 national selection.

Career

Ólafur began his career at ÍF Fylkir in his hometown Reykjavík. With the club he reached in 2000 in the island's first league runner-up.

In summer 2001, Ólafur moved to England for Arsenal. There he came only in the reserve team for use, so that he was awarded in early 2003 returned to Iceland to his old club ÍF Fylkir. Nevertheless, he established himself in the Icelandic U -21 team whose captain he was. After his return to England in the summer of the year he could not continue to prevail. Nevertheless, he came in November of the year at 0-0 draw with the Mexican national team for his senior international debut.
