Oil stream at Hirschbronn

The oil stream (also called " Ellbach " ) rises south of Ellwangen, a westerly town district of the municipality of Rot in the district of Biberach in Upper Swabia.

Course

At the height of Places sand Bauer, Übelhör, amateur farmer, Umbrecht and Wolf, located partly in the district of Ravensburg, between the wood pieces with the name Langholz and Banwald, is the source of the oil stream.

The Ellwanger Narrenzunft Bawaldbohle takes its name from this forest. All waters south originate the headwaters of the oil stream, open into the Wurzacher Ried. After about a kilometer reaches the oil stream Ellwangen and there makes a turn to the northeast. Jacob Berg ( 692 m) on the right hand are leaving unites the oil stream after a further three kilometers at Spindelwag with the Pfaffenrieder Bach, for on their way later into the Danube opens out red
