Content

The series takes place mainly in hell. The plot is built around philosophical discussions between Satan and Professor Richard Wittingham ( James Grout ) around. Basic theme is Satan's view that all people are inherently bad, which he supported by examples from his kingdom and the world of the living. The professor always tries to convince him otherwise, with Satan never admit to his own defeat. Another recurring theme is the life of the wife (more precisely: the widow ) Deborah the professor. Satan takes the professor several times in the world of the living with, where he has an influence on their lives.

The second human main character is Thomas Quentin Crimp ( Jimmy Mulville ), a ruthless business man who had every opportunity to lifetime to gain an advantage. It caused the car accident that claimed the lives of him and the professor. Thomas serves Satan often as an example of the depravity of man. He is the opposite to the idealistic and optimistic professor who went to hell only because of its atheism.

Other characters are the subordinates of the devil as the demon Gary ( Steven O'Donnell ), Satan's assistant. In the second season of the unconditionally loyal but bumbling Scumspawn (Robert Duncan ) takes its successor.

In addition, many historical figures appear, which were all banished forever to hell because of their way of life, such as Nero, Leonardo da Vinci, Karl Marx, Queen Victoria and Thomas Jefferson.

As the theme song "Resurrection " by Christopher Young was used. The piece is from the soundtrack of the film Hellraiser.
