Old Permic alphabet

The altpermische writing is an alphabet, which was formerly used for the posting of Komi.

The writing was invented in the 14th century by the missionary Stephen of Perm. Besides the name altpermisch is also the name Abur ( after the first two letters of the alphabet ) familiar. The characters of the font are partial Cyrillic strong influence.

The altpermische font was replaced by the Cyrillic alphabet in the 17th century and has since been out of use.
