Old Persian (Unicode block)

The Unicode block Old Persian ( Old Persian, 103A0 to 103DF ) contains the Persian cuneiform, in the AD between the 6th century BC and the 1st century BC, the ancient Persian language was written. Although the font is based on the cuneiform writing, however, is greatly simplified: 13 characters denote a consonant, regardless of the following vowel (as in a consonant letters), and the others denote the remaining 9 consonant with the following vowel (as in a syllabary ). There is also a word separator and own numeral.
