Old Scatness

The site was excavated for the first time during the construction of the airport in the late 1970s. Since 1995, employees and students of the University of Bradford, professional archaeologists and local volunteers to help during the excavation of the site and in the cataloging of the finds.

The Broch is managed by the Shetland Amenity Trust.
