Oldřich Rulc

Oldrich Rulc ( born March 20, 1911 in Strašnice, Austria - Hungary, † April 4, 1969 ) was a Czech football player. He participated with the Czechoslovak national team at the World Cup 1938.

Playing career

Oldrich Rulc was born in Strašnice, which was incorporated in 1922 to Prague, playing football, he joined Sparta Prague. For the top Czech club of Left Wing debuted in the season 1929/30, in the 1st Czechoslovak league. After the season Rulc moved to SK Židenice, a Brno club, then playing in the second league, and in 1933 rose to the first league. In that year, Oldrich Rulc was used for the first time in the Czechoslovak national team, in the squad for the World Cup in 1934, he was missing, however, in Antonín Puč he had one at this time to major competitors.

With the SK Židenice Rulc remained a title denied, even if the team a few times ended the season on the front table seats. Rulc did so ten games for the SK Židenice in the Mitropa Cup.

In 1938 he was in the squad for the World Cup 1938 in Czechoslovakia but could not repeat her success as a four year old runner-up. Overall Rulc denied between 1933 and 1938 17 internationals in which he scored two goals.

For the SK Židenice Rulc scored 65 league goals, overall he ran in over 700 league, cup and friendly matches for the club Brno.
