Ole Eskild Dahlstrøm

Ole Eskild Dahlstrøm ( born March 4, 1970 in Oslo ) is a former Norwegian ice hockey player ( center ), who played in its active period from 1987 to 2007 included in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga for the Adler Mannheim.

Career

Ole Eskild Dahlstrøm began his career as a hockey player in the 1986/87 season at Furuset IF, for its professional team in the Elite series, he was on the ice until 1992 and with whom he first time in his career, Norwegian champions in 1990. Only the 1988/89 season he spent at Örebro IK in Division 1, the Swedish second division. NHL Entry Draft 1990 Dahlstrøm was chosen as 218 in the eleventh round of the Minnesota North Stars ( drafted ), but he never went to North America, and remained first in Norway. After the 1991/92 season the links Sagittarius joined the Storhamar Dragons, with whom he 1995, 1996 and 1997, three times in a row won the Norwegian championship. In the 1995/96 season he was also a Norwegian player of the year.

For the season 1997 /98 Norwegians signed a contract with the Adler Mannheim of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, with whom he became German champion right away and for which he also graduated some games in the European Hockey League. After a year in Germany Dahlstrøm returned to the Storhamar Dragons in his home, which he again won the Norwegian Championship in 2000 and 2004. From 2005 to 2007, the two -time Olympian ran for Lillehammer IK, before he ended his career at the age of 37 years.

Internationally

For the Norwegian national ice hockey team Dahlstrøm took part in the U18 European Junior Championships in 1987 and the U20 World Youth Championship in 1990 at junior level. In the senior level, he stood in the squad of his country at the B World Championships in 1989, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 as well as in the A World Championships 1990, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000. Moreover, he ran for Norway at the Olympics Winter Games in Albertville in 1992 and 1994 in Lillehammer.
