Ole Martin Ã…rst

Ole Martin Årst (born 19 July 1974 in Bergen) is a Norwegian football player.

Career

Association

Årst played in the 1994 season for Skarp Tromsø in the 2nd divisjon, the third Norwegian league. For season 1995, the 1.90 m wide striker in the Tippeligaen to Tromsø IL. His Erstligadebüt he gave on April 22, 1995 to Ham -Kam. In 1996 he won the Norwegian Cup with Tromso. In the 2-1 final win against FK Bodø / Glimt he scored a goal.

In 1997 he moved to Belgium for RSC Anderlecht. In two seasons, he came up with 33 matches and scored eleven goals. In 1999 he moved within Belgium, for KAA Gent. In his only season for Ghent, he was top scorer of the Jupiler League with 30 goals. In 2000 he moved again within Belgium, this time to Standard Liege. In three seasons, he completed 72 games and scored 41 goals.

After six years in Belgium Ole Martin Årst changed in the summer of 2003 back to his former club Tromsø IL. With a goal to make it 2-1 victory over Rosenborg BK he celebrated in his first game a successful debut. During the 2004 season Årst was top scorer with eleven goals Tromsø. In the 2005 season he won with 16 goals, the top scorer in the Tippeligaen.

In July 2007, moved Årst, as captain of the Tromsø IL, within the Tippeligaen for IK Start Kristiansand. He signed a 3 1/2-Jahresvertrag .. His first goal he scored against his former club from Tromsø. At the end of the season Årst rose with his new club as a table in the Thirteenth Adecco Ligaen from.

National

Årst plays since 2000 in the Norwegian national football team. He completed a total of 22 matches and scored two goals. Its premiere he gave on 31 January 2000 in the match against Iceland.

In qualifying for the 2006 World Cup, he completed four missions. In the group stage, he played in the games against Slovenia and Scotland. In the 1:2 home defeat against Scotland he scored his first international goal. Norway finished the group stage in second place and had two relegation matches against the Czech Republic contest. He played in two games. Norway lost both games 0-1.

His second international goal scored Årst in the 1:2 defeat in a friendly against Mexico in San Francisco.

During qualifying for the 2008 European Championships he came only to use one. In the away match against Greece, he came on in the 85th minute for Anders Rambekk.
