Oleg Chen

Oleg Borisovich Chen (Russian Олег Борисович Чен; born November 22, 1988 in Alma- Ata ) is a Russian weightlifter. It was in 2011 and 2013 Vice World Champion in the lightweight.

Career

Oleg Chen grew up in Novosibirsk where he started as a teenager with weight lifting. Since 2011 he has lived and trained in Khimki. In the National Team was long years Dawid Rigert his coach.

He had already been successful in the junior age and played from 2006 to 2011 a number of junior world and European championships in different age groups. 2011 Oleg Chen was also the first time Russian champion in the seniors at lightweight. He achieved this in a duel 333 kg ( 155-178 ). In 2012, he defended that title with a duel capacity of 327 kg ( 152-175 ). In the Russian championship in 2013, he was not at the start.

In 2011 he also took part for the first time with the seniors at an international championship. He was there right away in Paris Vice World Champion scored behind the Chinese Tan Deshang who in a duel 341 kg ( 155-186 ). The performance of Oleg Chen was 336 kg ( 156-180 ) in a duel. With his performance in the snatch, he won a World Championship silver medal.

In April 2012, Oleg Chen launched at the European Championships in Antalya. He was in the snatch with 158 kg European Champion. However, in thrusting he managed in three attempts, the initial weight of 175 kilograms, which he did not yield any duel power materialize and therefore remained unplaced. For participation in the Olympic Games this year in London, he was not nominated by the Russian Weightlifting Federation.

Very successful he was then in the year 2013. In April this year he was in Tirana European champion at lightweight in the tackle and in the snatch. His performance in the duel was 331 kg ( 155-176 ), which he referred Sardar Hasanow from Azerbaijan, 326 kg, and Daniel Godelli, Albania, 325 kg to the places. At the World Championships in October 2013 in Wroclaw Oleg Chen raised in a duel to 340 kig ( 160-180 ). With this performance, he finished in a duel behind the Chinese Liao Hui, the 358 kg ( 160-198 ) came 2nd place. In tearing he scored as the Chinese 160 kg, but was a bit heavier than this and therefore had to be in this discipline satisfied with the Vice World Champion title.
