Oleg Kiryukhin

Oleh Stanislawowytsch Kyrjuchin (Ukrainian Олег Станіславович Кирюхін, English transcription Oleh Stanislavovych Kiryukhin; born February 25, 1975 in Mariupol ) is a Ukrainian boxer. Kyrjuchin was European champion in 1993, silver medalist at the European Championships in 1996 and bronze medalist at the European Championships in 1998 and the Olympics in 1996.

Career

Amateur

1993 won Kyrjuchin in the light flyweight the European Championships in Thessaloniki. At the World Championships 1995, however, he already retired in the second round against Rafael Lozano, Spain ( 8:4 ), from. The following year, Kyrjuchin again reached the final of the European Championships, but lost against the Bulgarians Daniel Petrov. In the same year he competed in the Olympic Games in Atlanta.
