Oleksandr Lazarovych

Oleksandr Petrowytsch Lasarowytsch (Ukrainian Олександр Петрович Лазарович; born August 30, 1984 in Worochta ) is a former Ukrainian ski jumper and ski coach.

Career

Lasarowytsch jumped since 2003 in the National squad for Ukraine. He had his first international jumping at a FIS race on January 17, 2003 in Tarvisio. On 15 February 2003, he began jumping in the Continental Cup. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2003 in Val di Fiemme he was in the team squad for Ukraine, but could only occupy the 13th and last place with the team. On December 1, 2007 Lasarowytsch jumped his first World Cup competition in Kuusamo, Finland. However, he could not reach the final round and finished the jump only on the 50th and last place. He continued jumping, but with whom he came in none in the second passage. Therefore Lazarovych jumped continue in parallel with the Continental Cup. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo, he was again a member of the Ukrainian ski jumping team. However, the team could only reach the 13th and last place as in the 2003 World Cup. In the Ski Flying World Championships 2008 in Oberstdorf, he could reach the 38th place with a jump on 165.0 m. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009, he reached the 38th place on the large hill and 49th in jumping on the normal hill. At the team competition, he did not participate, as Ukraine aufstellte no team.

On 8 February 2009, he was with the 28th place in the opening event of the FIS Team Tour 2009 gathering in Willingen, the first World Cup points for a Ukrainian ski jumper for 13 years after last Volodymyr Glywko won a World Cup point in February 1996.

At the Olympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver Lasarowytsch different from the normal hill from 48th qualifying. When qualifying on the big hill he could than 43 also do not qualify for the final.

After the season 2010/2011 he finished his career. Lasarowytsch is at a sports school in Worochta coach.

Oleksandr Lasarowytsch is a student and studied at the University of Ivano- Frankivsk.
