Olena Sadovnycha

Olena Sadownytscha (Ukrainian: Олена Садовнича; * November 4, 1967 in Kiev ) is a Ukrainian archer, who won two Olympic medals.

Olena Sadownytscha reached the semifinals, where she defeated the later Olympic champion Kim Kyung -wook at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. In the battle for bronze they could prevail against the Turk Elif Altinkaynak. The Ukrainian team Sadownytscha lost in the quarterfinals against the Poles and finished second in the overall standings to fifth place.

In 1997, the Ukrainians arrived at the world championships to win the final and lost there against the South Koreans. At the 2000 Olympic Games Sadownytscha missed in individual competition the round of 16, the Ukrainian team reached the finals and lost there again against South Korea.
