Olesa de Montserrat

Olesa de Montserrat is a Catalan city in the comarca of Baix Llobregat ( Barcelona province ). On 1 January 2013, there were 23,742 people on an area of 16.75 km ².

Olesa is known by the resident textile industry and the production of olive oil, but especially by the held annually, was first mentioned in 1540 Passionsfestpiele la Passió d' Olesa de Montserrat. During Holy Week here the last few days are shown in the life of Jesus Christ. This passion Festival bestowed Olesa 1996 an entry in the Guinness Book of Records, as 726 people acted on the stage at the same time.
