Olešná (Pelhřimov District)

Olešná ( German Woleschna ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers north-east of Pelhřimov and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Olešná located on both sides of the eponymous creek Olešná in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands.

Neighboring towns are Služátky and Chvojnov in the north, and Rybníček Jelcovy Lhotky in the northeast, Strměchy in the east, in the southeast Plevnice, Chválov and Řemenov in the south, Pelhřimov in the southwest, and Hamr Radětín in the west and Krasíkovice and Služátky in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Olešná place in the year 1379th The area was part of the Archdiocese of Prague associated rule Řečice.
