Olešník

Olešník ( German Woleschnik, formerly Wolleschnik ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers north of Zliv and belongs to České Budějovice.

Geography

Olešník is the brook Olešník in Budweiser pool ( Českobudějovická pánev ). South-east rises the Olešnický vrch ( 499 m). At the eastern end of the village lie the ponds Rojdánek and Nové Jámy. Against the southeast and southwest are remaining holes several Lignittagebaue who last served as Klärsümpfe the uranium processing MAPE and are heavily contaminated.

History

The first written mention of the woman belonging to the reign mountain village Wolleschnik took place in 1409 in Rosenberger executioner book in connection with a horse thief.

In 1835 Woleschnik consisted of 31 houses with 213 inhabitants. In the village passed a stately yard, a sheep farm and an inn. Vicarage Zahay .. Until the mid-19th century, the village remained subservient to the Prince Schwarzenberg associated rule Fraunberg.

After the abolition of patrimonial Volešník or Olešník / Wolleschnik formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Budějovice / Budweis.
