Olexander Bilanenko
Oleksandr Wiktorowytsch Bilanenko (Ukrainian Олександр Вікторович Біланенко, scientific transliteration Oleksandr Viktorovyč Bilanenko; born January 8, 1978 in Sumy, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union) is a Ukrainian biathlete.
Oleksandr Bilanenko operates since 1990 Biathlon. He is sporting a soldier and is coached by Yuri Dmytrenko and M. Serdyuk. Since 1999 he is a member of the Ukrainian National Biathlon Team. In the same year he gave at a single in Hochfilzen ( 60th ) made his debut in the Biathlon World Cup. 2004 a pursuit in Östersund, he achieved his best result to date in a single race.
2002 Salt Lake City, Torino 2006 and Vancouver 2010 Oleksandr Bilanenko participated at the Olympic Winter Games. He reached his best results in 2002 and 2006 with the seventh of the season, while it was only enough for rear ranks in individual disciplines. 2010 was his best result of the 22nd place in the individual. With the season he finished eighth.
Between 2000 and 2013 he took part in all the Biathlon World Championships. The most successful for him in addition to the team silver medal in the World Championships in 2011, 2004 in Oberhof, where he successfully took the individual ( 8 ), in the sprint ( 9 ), in the mass start ( 9 ) and in the season ( 7 ). End of the season 2004/2005 we counted him amongst the top 20 biathletes. In this time he achieved his best at the Winter Universiade in 2003 and 2005 a total of five medals, while in 2005 a complete set. In the Biathlon European Championships, he was between 2001 and 2008 with a singles titles and three silver medals in the relay ( 2002, 2005 and 2006) successfully.
According to the number of medals was the most successful Bilanenko. At the World and European Championships in the summer biathlon, where he spread over his whole career, received a total of 5 gold and 6 silver medals
Oleksandr Bilanenko is one of the most accurate athletes in biathlon. Regularly his hit rate is well above 85%. For the 2007/2008 season, he topped the list of the best shooters in second place. Weak runs generic form usually prevent front seats.
Oleksandr Bilanenko is married, has two sons and lives in Sumy.
