Olga Orgonista

Olga Orgonista ( born February 22, 1901 in Budapest, † November 20, 1978 ibid ) was a Hungarian figure skater, which was launched in pair skating.

She stepped in pair skating together with Sándor Szalay on. Together they were in the years 1928 to 1930, the first Hungarian champion in pair skating.

1930 in Vienna and 1931 in St. Moritz were Orgonista and Szalay also the first European Champion in pair skating. They noted both times their compatriots Emília Rotter and László Szollás to second place.

Her first appearance at the World Championships had Orgonista and Szalay 1929 at home in Budapest. They won there the bronze medal behind the two Austrian couples Lilly Scholz and Otto Kaiser and Melitta Brunner and Ludwig Wrede. In their next world championship is they were in Berlin in 1931 Vice World Champion. They were subject to extremely tight their compatriots Rotter and Szollás that they had recently conquered yet at the European Championships. A year later Orgonista and Szalay denied their last World Championship in Montreal, Canada. They finished in fourth place. The same result they achieved in the same year at the Olympic Games in Lake Placid.
