Oligonucleotide
Oligonucleotides (from the Greek oligo = few ') are from a few nucleotides (DNA or RNA) constructed oligomers. The nucleotide sequence consisting of 4 to 10 nucleotide units.
Oligonucleotides are used as
- Antisense oligonucleotides
- Oligonucleotide DNA Fingerprinting
- Oligonucleotide probe
- Oligonucleotide chip
- Mutagenesis or cassette mutagenesis primers in the Oligonukleotidvermittelten (English oligonucleotide mediated mutagenesis )
- Primers for the polymerase chain reaction
In vitro produced oligonucleotides and aptamers are called.
Synthesis
The oligonucleotides are synthesized by the phosphoramidite method of solid phase ( solid phase synthesis).
