Olin Kreutz

Olin Kreutz George ( born June 9, 1977 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American former American football player at the position of the center. He played for the Chicago Bears and the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League ( NFL).

Playing career

Kreutz was born as the youngest of four sons of his parents Henry and Laura Kreutz in Honolulu. He attended St. Louis High School in Honolulu, where he played American football. Kreutz was also an outstanding athlete and wrestler. In the heavyweight, he won the state championship while in Hawaii. Kreutz studied for his degree at the University of Washington. 1997 was able to move his college team in the Aloha Bowl, defeating the team of Michigan State University with 51:23. In 1998 he abandoned his studies prematurely and was selected in the NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears in the third round to 64th place. As of the 1999 season, Kreutz was used by his head coach Dick Jauron regularly as a starter at the position of the center. 2006 succeeded the Bears under Lovie Smith head coach of the way into the Super Bowl. However, this was lost with 29:17 against the Indianapolis Colts.

For the 2011 NFL season Kreutz signed a one year contract with the New Orleans Saints. But Kreutz played only three games, then he fell out with an injury. In October 2011, then Kreutz stepped back and told the Saints with that he had lost his interest in football and will no longer wanted to play.

Honors

Kreutz played six times in the Pro Bowl and was twice elected to the All- Pro.

Kreutz is married to his high school sweetheart and has four children.
